Let me tell you about myself
Tommy Antonio is a composer, songwriter, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist working across children's music, musical theatre, and screen.
He is currently creating the music brand extension for Little People, BIG DREAMS — the internationally bestselling children's book series published by Frances Lincoln/Quarto, with over 15 million copies sold worldwide. He is also under commission by Roald Dahl Story Company to adapt one of their most beloved titles for the stage.
His musical theatre work includes PIN, his debut as bookwriter and lyricist, in development with Hartshorn Hook, and Highlanders, winner of the Musicals Hub Award, developed at Edinburgh Festival Theatre and currently in development with producer Mark Puddle.
Screen credits include the soundtrack to Testimonio, the multi-award-winning Basque animation directed by Julian Briceño, alongside earlier film work with directors Mo Lai Yan Chi and Maria Millan.
As a recording artist, Tommy releases solo material under his own name, and collaborates closely with long-time creative partner Dom James across two projects — children's music under the Little People, BIG DREAMS banner, and indie/pop as Shaker Neon, whose debut single Ice Cream featured on BBC Radio 1.
Tommy is a founding member of London Vocal Project, the UK's foremost jazz choir, who have performed alongside Cleo Laine and Bobby McFerrin. He trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is published by Hal Leonard.
